2017 is our 61st gathering! NWNPC has been the place where NDs around the Pacific Northwest have gathered to share their wisdom and camaraderie since 1957! Our 61st annual convention will be held April 28 - 30, 2017, at the Pan Pacific Hotel and Vancouver Convention Centre.

We have another excellent lineup this year, including:
   Nigel Plummer, PhD
   Robert Rountree, MD
   Jonathan V Wright, MD
   Molly Niedermeyer, ND, LM

We will be welcoming NDs from BC, throughout Canada and the United States. Take a look at our schedule and the speaker bios for more details. If you have any questions about this year's convention not answered by the website, please email Glenn Cassie and he would be happy to help.

Featured Speaker

Dr. Nicole Apelian was one of the first women to appear on "Alone," the History Channel’s series where contestants are stranded in the wilderness with limited gear, cameras to document their survival, left on their own to build shelters, fend off predators, and forage to survive. Although she drew on personal experience, such as her time with the San Bushmen, she also drew on her own health experiences, being diagnosed with MS, and finding support in naturopathic medicine. Watch her in this "survive and thrive" video. But most importantly, join us for an inspiring and positive closing keynote Sunday, as we welcome anthropologist, biologist, mother, educator, researcher, Nicole Apelian, whose theme will focus on the importance of nature connection, indigenous knowledge, and dealing with health through a holistic perspective.

Entertainment

Come celebrate and honor our roots with an excellent set of lectures and entertaining evenings with your friends! Hob-nob with some founding members and enjoy Vancouver's beautiful harbour waterfront. We have several social events planned including the Dr. Chris Turner Reception with live music from Mike Massé! Relax and connect with old friends and make new ones!

Exhibitor Registration

Our convention wouldn't exist without our exhibitors and sponsors. We can give you an opportunity to get in front of our physicians and students and let them know what you have to offer. Besides a booth (check out the floor plan), we also have sponsorships for food breaks, bag inserts and other items.

Please see our Exhibitor Registration page for more details.

Accommodations

Our host hotel is the beautiful Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver. It sits directly above the convention centre. Each room hash spectacular views -- across the harbour, the city, the North Shore mountains and west to Stanley Park. We have a very special room rate, available until March 28, of $199 CAD (approximately $150 USD) per night. Book your room here.

The NWNPC room block is sold out on Wednesday and Thursday, April 26 and April 27. Rooms are still available online for Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29. If you need a hotel for the Thursday night, we recommend either Expedia or Hotwire. If you use a third party provider, such as Hotwire, narrow your search to “Coal Harbour.” Any hotel in the Coal Harbour neighbourhood is within walking distance to the Convention Centre.
